About Kathy Walter Mack - Metropolitan Community College Vice Chancellor
For the last five years, Kathy Walter-Mack has served as associate vice chancellor of human resources and chief of staff to the chancellor at Metropolitan Community College (MCC) in Kansas City, Missouri. In these roles, Kathy Walter-Mack works directly with the school's chief executive officer, heading legal efforts and serving as a media representative. Among her achievements at MCC, she streamlined budgeting and helped meet compliance regulations. Walter-Mack gained previous educational experience in her role as a legal consultant for the kansas City Missouri School District.
Kathy Walter-Mack holds a bachelor of arts in journalism and political science from Roosevelt University and received her juris doctorate from the College of Law at DePaul University. In 1982, she was admitted to the state bar of Illinois and subsequently obtained bar membership in Missouri. An active member of her community, Walter-Mack have over the years supported a number of charitable initiatives in her free time, including Kansas City Hospice, and the literacy nonprofit Reach Out and Read. |
